Sabdha MeditationSabdha means sound. Meditation does not necessarily need a secluded, calm and quiel place. It can be practised even in a moving bus or train. Travel confines you to a particular spot and can be the best opportunity for meditation. External distractions do not matter. Meditation requires that you take your mind off the humdrum of daily life and concentrate on only one thing at a time. TechniqueThe drone of the moving bus or the chug-chugging of the train itself could be the object of meditation. Concentrate your whole attention on the sound. When your mind slips off, bring it back and be aware of the sound only and nothing else. Incidentally, you may realise that the excuse that you do not have time for meditation does not hold water. This technique is another instance where you can meditate under most circumstances. |
