Most of the people say’s fever is a disease but it is not true because this is frequent body’s system with increased internal body temperature above its normal level. Fever is also called as pyrexia. The normal body temperature of human body is 36.8±0.7 °C or 98.2±1.3 °. The thermoregulatory system of the body increases the temperature about 1–2°C. Fever acts as one of the body’s natural fighter against bacteria and viruses, which is not able to live at a higher temperature in the body, when the higher temperature is achieved in the body, the shivering and feeling of cold stops. Fever improves the body’s immune system as well as increases the production of white blood cells and antibodies. When fever is elevated in body drugs such as aspirin or Tylenol (acetaminophen) are prescribed to the patient. The temperature increases in body due to hyperthermia over the body’s thermoregulatory system.

A patient who is developing fever, he will feel cold sensation and increase in heart rate, muscle tone and perceived hypothermia thereby reaching the new thermoregulatory setpoint. Sometimes fever occurs due to various microorganisms in the body that is too harmful for human body and this microorganism causes diseases like dengue, diarrhea, typhoid, skin inflammations and lot of infectious disease.
